- For the purposes of monitoring the surface regularity of road reinstatements, relevant lengths of the trench should be divided into test sections 30 m long. The upper and lower limit values for surface irregularities for each 30 m section are shown in Table S2.3. For the final section, which may exceed 30 m but will be less than 60 m, the limits should be calculated pro rata and rounded up to the nearest whole number.
